Additional Sony Cycle Energy AAA Ni-MH Rechargeable Batteries (4-Pack) Information

Sony's newest rechargeable battery technology seeks to bridge the gap between regular alkaline batteries and NiMH rechargeable batteries. Cycle Energy rechargeable batteries do not require initial charging and have a very low self discharge rate. They maintain 85 percent of their charge after one year and can be recharged up to 1,000 times. This new technology offers consumers the convenience of a ready-to-use rechargeable battery that is longer lasting and environmentally friendly.

What Customers Say About Sony Cycle Energy AAA Ni-MH Rechargeable Batteries (4-Pack):

No issues so far. Note that these do not come charged from the factory - need charging before first use.

Arrived very quickly in blister pack package. I have not had to recharge yet but I also don't use them very hard. Charged the batteries in an Eveready charger and they have been working fine. Seem to be working fine.

Contrary to all the comments and reviews on the internet there is a big difference between CycleEnergy and Eneloop.Cycle energy from Sony are Made in China and enloops what I own are Made in JapanI just received today , so dont know if the will perform as well as the Sanyo's eneloop.I am skeptical that they wont perform to the same level , also the top crown is also white in color on +ve terminal of the Batteries , so its not a rule that if the crown is white , it will be Made in Japan.

After less than a month of use, they've performed well. They may also work especially well in high-drain, low-duration devices such as LED flashlights or night-lights. I've been using the orange-colored Cycle Energy version of Sony's rechargeables, but tried these because of their low self-discharge characteristic. They're best-suited for low-drain applications, I assume, such as mice, keyboards, and TV/DVD remotes. Compared with the original version, it appears the user trades off some run-time for improved shelf-life.

I am pleased with them and will be getting more of these batteries to use in remote controls, games, etc. The power has been very consistent, too. I am hoping that these will last longer but I'm not sure if they will. These new batteries arrived nearly fully charged and I have had no trouble with them keeping a charge or recharging in the phone. So far, I've been able to more than double that usage time with these Sony batteries. I've only had these batteries for a few weeks but so far they've been fantastic. I bought them as replacements for the batteries in my cordless phone, which I've been replacing nearly annually for several years as they've worn out. Previously, with the batteries I've been using for years, I could use the phone for just over an hour before the batteries would run out of power.
